It's all about the children for this event...Registration is between 12:00 & 1:00 p.m. A walk to raise money for Gillette Children's Hospital & Children's Miracle Network will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2005. The Childrens Miracle Network is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to raising funds for and awareness for 170 childrens hospitals in North America. In Minnesota, all of the proceeds raised benefit Gillette Childrens Specialty Healthcare. Gillette is a private nonprofit hospital, founded in 1897. Gillettes mission is to help children with chronic and functional disabilities realize greater well-being, independence and enjoyment in life. Registration and Donation forms can be downloaded here. Attire is casual, but please feel free to wear your crowns, sashes and nametags! The children will love it! Here is the addresss and directions to the event: In addition to surrounding royalty and patrons, there will be several patients to Gillette Hospital in attendance. Activities include the walk, a pumpkin decorating contest, food, games and more! Please bring your money raised with you to the event. Please note the minimum asked from each participant is
$100 in pledges, but don't stop there! Be creative! Host garage sales,
ask everyone you know to match your $10 registration fee, have a community
fundraiser - or better yet, invite your community to participate as
well! Put a press release in your local paper! The possibilities are
endless.
